Spotlight on Caregivers - Melissa Mears

Each month or so we would like to dedicate a blog to the incredible caregivers who give their hearts and souls to our clients each and everyday. They are out in the community making a difference by sharing the compassion and skills they have for caring for our seniors and allowing them to age in place.  Mellissa Mears Melissa is relatively new to Armistead, having just joined the team in September of 2013.  Although nine months may seem like a short amount of time, with the top notch assistance and resources provided by Armistead, she became a seasoned pro in no time!  In May of 2013, Melissa graduated from Saint Michael's College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a pre-med focus.  With dreams of one day becoming a Physician's Assistant, Melissa searched endlessly for the perfect job that would set her on the correct path towards achieving her goals.  Having stumbled upon the Armistead website, she was extremely impressed.  "I couldn't help but get excited about the idea of potentially working with this company, it seemed too good to be true!"  With a strong passion for helping others, and a desire to ensure it gets done in a professional yet fun loving way, she knew she would fit right in with the Armistead team. "I've never met so many sweet, and genuine individuals in my whole entire life.  Not only does the staff at Armistead care for the clients, but they care just as much for the wellbeing of their caregivers. I have been assisted by these amazing people in so many ways, personal and professional, it is a treat to have them work with you professionally, but really feel like they're your friends.  To me, that's what Armistead is all about, professional care provided by people that become your lifelong friends."
