Mayors Raise Awareness

The Annual March for Meals campaign has been raising awareness about senior hunger for over a decade.  One way they do this is by asking area Mayors to deliver meals one day during March.  This is a fun way to get local officials involved.  In Vermont, mayors around the state will be delivering meals on March 20th, to raise awareness about the many seniors who live with food insecurity.  Here are some pictures of past campaigns.  I’ll try to post pictures from the upcoming Mayors for Meals campaign as soon as I have them.  In the meantime, enjoy this picture of for Burlington, VT mayor Bob Kiss with a Meals on Wheels client.  I also encourage you to call and see if your local official is taking part in the Mayors for Meals campaign.
