Armistead Senior Care’s Awards Presentation at Sweet 16 Anniversary Celebration

Sherry Russell Ann Howard Sandra Hennessey Armistead Senior Care commemorated its 16th Anniversary on Thursday, November 5th at the Catamount Country Club in Williston, VT with a Sweet Sixteen Celebration honoring their extraordinary caregivers.  The Rachel Lee Cummings Award for Excellence was awarded to Sherry Russell of New Hampshire, Sandra Hennessey was named Vermont Caregiver of the Year, and Ann Howard was named New Hampshire Caregiver of the Year.  Caregivers with three or more years of service were presented with special gifts and the Longevity Award was presented to Shirley Weaver for sixteen years of service. Armistead was founded in 1999 by Rachel Lee Cummings.  Rachel started Armistead to address the needs of aging Vermonters and provide opportunities for professional caregivers.  The Vermont office has grown over the years to offer caregiving services throughout six counties in Vermont.  Armistead’s Lebanon, NH office services the Lake Sunapee area and Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire.  Armistead’s staff includes three certified Aging Life Care Specialists™ who offer geriatric care management services to families, along with “Transitions”, a program designed to help people “right-size” or “down-size” their homes, and “Homeward Bound” a program to help individuals leave the hospital, long-term care or rehabilitation community with care and confidence.
