As President of Armistead Senior Care it is my privilege and pleasure to introduce you to the Armistead team. I am fortunate to work with such an experienced, dedicated, talented and passionate staff.
I am also fortunate to be a colleague of Armistead’s founder Rachel Cummings. I believe strongly in Armistead mission and values and will work diligently to help Armistead become the best employer of caregivers and the best provider of care and services in the areas we serve in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Although I hail originally from Brooklyn, New York, and you may detect a bit of a New York accent, having lived in Vermont for over 35 years and raising a son here, I consider Vermont my home.
I am an executive registered nurse trained in Brooklyn with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Trinity College and one of 4 Aging Life Care Experts™ in the state. I have had a diverse and challenging career, including: staff nurse, nurse manager, Hospital Administrator, a CEO, an Executive Director, and a Care Manager.
I became interested in working with elders and their families when I worked at the VNA. I helped to develop their Family caregiver and Geriatric Care Management Programs and at the same time renewed my nursing license which I had not had for many years. Those experiences as well as the personal journey of helping aging parents have led me to Armistead. I think it is a perfect fit for me. I am passionate about helping seniors, their families and people with disabilities to live in the setting they choose and helping them to achieve the quality of life they desire. I am honored to work with our compassionate and dedicated caregivers and know the work they do is not work to most of them but a true calling to help make the life of others better.
In my spare time I play tennis, bike, run, and ski when it is warm and sunny in Vermont (so I do not do that very often).
If you are a caregiver, a client or a potential client please do not hesitate to contact with any comments or suggestions. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Heather has been working at Armistead Senior Care for the last 7 years. Coming to Armistead with 5 years of prior caregiving experience, she was hired in June of 2010 after she graduated from Saint Michael’s College with her BA in psychology. In June of 2012 she transitioned into her role as Armistead’s Care Manager for Chittenden, Addison, Franklin and Grand Isle counties. This fall she successfully completed the NACCM exam and became a Certified Care Manager.
Heather grew up spending time with three of her great grandmothers and attributes this to her love of spending time with the senior population. Heather visited each of them on a regular basis during her childhood. Two aged at home independently well into their 90’s the other she visited in a nursing home every Wednesday in early elementary school with her grandmother. Having these experiences led Heather to her passion for helping seniors to age in place.
